Individual Tax Preparation
I specialize in tax preparation for individuals with complex returns and small businesses (LLCs & sole proprietors), including also rental properties, foreign earned income, capital gains, asset dispositions, retirement and investments. For standalone individual tax returns, the typical fee range is $575 to $1150 based on the the forms needed and complexity. Hourly fees will apply if your records are unusually disorganized and incomplete. All tax return preparation includes unlimited year-round consultation and tax planning, free of additional charges!
If you are a small business, I can create an LLC or S Corporation for $375 plus the state filing fees which includes the Articles of Incorporation, Operating Agreement, and EIN, including up to 1.5 hours consultation to help you launch your venture.
S Corp Election
You may qualify to have your entity taxed as an S corporation. The setup for this process and procedure is a one-time fee of $275 however, $50 will be credited towards future tax preparation or other professional services if you become a client, and have paid for tax preparation in the current year. If you contact me no later than November 15th of the year, you may be able to elect late S Corp election, back to Jan 1 of the tax year. This potentially involves substantial bookkeeping adjustments and reclassifications, as well as rushed service in order to meet the filing deadline of March 15th for corporations. As a result, additional bookkeeping fees will apply. The tax preparation fee to file the annual S Corp tax return (Form 1120 s) is $1150, based on complexity. If your accounting records have significant entry and account appropriation errors, hourly rates will apply to clean them up and you will likely be put on an extension until after tax season is over.
Payroll & Accounting
Most full-service bookkeeping is referred to outside professionals but I do handle full service payroll. The cost varies depending on how often employees are paid and how many are on payroll. The one-time setup fee is $250. A typical fee range is $65 per month for bi-weekly to $165 per quarter for quarterly payroll (for one person). Annual year-end filings (W-2's, 1099's) and reconciliation forms are extra. Call to see if have availability for this service.
